Westfield Drops First State Game to Bridgewater Americans

Westfield White lost to Bridgewater American tonight by the score of 8-2 in a Cal Ripken State tournament game. Westfield fell behind early on a couple of defensive miscues and some timely hits by Bridgewater. Westfield could not get anything going offensively for most of the game. The Westfield offense began making some noise in their final at bat, but it was too little, too late.

Vin Difilippo and Scott Tupper pitched well for Westfield.

Westfield plays next on Thursday, 7/23 in Hillsborough against South Brunswick in a Cal Ripken State tournament game.
